Alison has worked with farrierswier in various capacities since the firm’s early days, and has been Office Manager since 2008.
Alongside her extensive experience in small business management, Alison brings more than 30 years’ experience in crafting clear, credible and engaging written communication. This experience has been built through in-house corporate affairs roles at BP and ANZ; writing newsletters and marketing materials for community organisations; freelance editing and proofreading work; formal study in journalism and professional writing and editing; and, more recently, through her ongoing professional practice in family history writing and her volunteer role editing a genealogical journal.
Just as we support our clients, Alison supports the firm. She manages farrierswier’s internal and contract administration, ensuring that the business runs smoothly and efficiently. She also contributes writing, copyediting and communication expertise to client projects.
Alison has a broad and versatile skill set in this area. Whether editing detailed technical business reports or creating concise social media content, she brings the same high level of focus and attention to detail to every assignment. Her skills include writing, copyediting, proofreading, and the strategic tailoring of communication for specific audiences. Alison has helped businesses, community organisations and individuals find the words that truly express what they what to say, and has refined those words when they need polishing.
